Playdough is one of the best activities for kids in my opinion. I don't think I've come across a child who really doesn't like it. It's so versatile and you can do so much with it including using it to learn numbers, emotions, letters and so much more. Playdough is fun for all ages and so easy to make at home.

This is the official blog announcement for the birth of Aria Poppy!!

She finally made her appearance 9 days late on the 26th May at 12:45pm. She weighed 7lbs 6.5 ounces. The birth was very quick, so I thought I would share it with you.

I'll start with the day I had my first sweep, Wednesday 22nd May. I was 5 days overdue at this point and feeling very fed up. I had the sweep and the midwife booked me in to be induced the following Wednesday if nothing happened. I went home and had some minor cramping but nothing major. I didn't think it had worked at all.

Fast forward to Friday 24th May and I lost my mucus plug. I knew this didn't mean labour was happening imminently, but it was a step in the right direction. The midwife did say I could phone for another sweep on the Saturday if I wanted to, so I did.

I went in at 4:30pm for the sweep and the midwife said she could feel the head and Aria was really low. She didn't promise anything, but said she didn't think I would need inducing and baby would be here before that. I didn't believe her haha. I think I had officially given up at this point.

It got to 9:30 pm and I started having contractions that were 10 minutes apart. They weren't very strong at all, so I tried to just relax. I messaged my Mum, as she was going to be looking after Dominic and Lily, and she came over at about 11. By midnight they had stopped. My Mum went home and I went to bed to get some sleep just in case.

I woke up at 7am with more contractions. They started 10 mins apart but, again, weren't very strong. I waited about an hour and they started getting closer together. I knew labour had started so my Mum came back over and picked up the kids. I had some breakfast and rang the birth centre. They said to labour at home and phone when I wanted to go in. By 9:30am the contractions were 3 minutes apart but still not very strong. I decided to go in and see if they could check what was happening.

We got to hospital at 10am and they checked me. I was 2cm! That was it! I was hoping I would be further along as I was 2cm at the sweep the day before. They said to go for a walk and try get things moving along.

We decided to pop to the Tesco close by and get something to eat. I was sat in the cafĂ©, timing my contractions. I felt really embarrassed sitting there in pain haha. The contractions were 5 minutes apart when sat down, but about 2 minutes apart when we were walking around. I think we were out for an hour before I decided I wanted to go back to the hospital. The contractions were getting stronger and I was really struggling to walk around.

We were back at hospital by 11:15. The midwife suggested a bath as this can either slow down the contractions or speed them up. Oh it sped them up alright haha. I was only in the bath for about 15 minutes before getting out. I think it was about 12ish by this point, but I'm not sure.

This is where it gets quick!

At 12:15 the midwife checked me and I was 8cm! I had gone from 2cm-8cm in 2 hours! No wonder I was struggling to walk! By 12:30 I was feeling the need to push and then at 12:45 out popped little Aria!

She came out so quick I had a 2nd degree tear and grazes. I wasn't surprised by the tear as I had that with the other 2 as well. I've never had grazes before, but she did fly out haha.

How are we doing?

We are 5 days in now and I'm still a bit sore and get achey if I do too much or sit for too long. I'm trying to find the right balance and keep on top of painkillers. My bleeding has slowed down a bit and I'm not panicking so much about it. Emotionally, I'm doing ok. No random tears or outbursts.

Aria is doing so well. She's just started taking 2-3 ounces, every few hours. She sleeps ok and we have a system of Simon having her downstairs until about 1am so I can get a few hours sleep. I then take over when he brings her up and sleep on and off the rest of the night. It's working well for us so far.

She has settled into our family amazingly and the kids both love her. They are so helpful. We have to keep a bit of an eye on Lily. She tries to pick her up sometimes and her cuddles can be a bit squeezy haha. However, she is so loving and checks on Aria if she makes a noise.

I hope that wasn't to long and made sense haha. I tried to remember as much as I could and don't think I missed anything out. I will continue to post updates on how we are doing.

I really didn't think I would be writing this post haha. I honestly thought baby girl would be here by now, but she's being stubborn like her sister. We have hit the 40 week mark for our last pregnancy and it has been a struggle recently.

I have been having so many pains, especially at night. Rolling over has been almost impossible. Sharp pains have caused me to lose sleep and not be able to move. It lasts for a little while in the morning too. It's like when your muscles have just seized up and you need to stretch them and get them going again. I know its just the SPD and as soon as she comes it won't be so bad, but it has definitely taken it's toll on my mental health.

I am happy to say, however, that the heartburn has gone! *Does a celebration dance* That has been something throughout this whole pregnancy that has made me not enjoy it. I was getting it every night to the point where I had to stand up for a while or sleep sitting up. Not comfy at all! The fact that it has gone is amazing.

Braxton hicks contractions have been major the last few weeks. I have been getting them every few days and keep thinking maybe it's labour. You would think, being my third, I would know when it's labour but every little twinge gets me wondering.

Baby girls movements have slowed a little bit. Not enough to be concerned. I'm still getting the amount of kicks I should be, but she is definitely slowing down. Whether that's because she is out of room or because it's nearly time I don't know.

We are officially ready for her arrival though. The bedroom is finally sorted and we have a new bed and plenty of space for her. The rest of the house is just a case of sort when we can haha.

This is the last blog post from me before she comes. I have been struggling the last few weeks with everything that I needed to do before she came. Now it's time for me to rest, relax and not worry about what I have to do and when I need to do it. So, the next post will be my labour and delivery story with pictures of baby girl!

Keep an eye on my Instagram for updates!

I love doing my makeup. It makes me feel so much more confident and happy. I've always enjoyed experimenting with colourful eyeshadow. Now I'm a Mum of 2 (nearly 3!) I find I don't have time to do fancy makeup everyday like I used to. I thought I would share my very quick, no eyeshadow, everyday makeup routine with you.

Finding things for the kids to do when you are at home can be tricky. It can be difficult to think up new and exciting activities. Here I have found 5 activities that I think are great for kids, very easy to do and won't cost a fortune.

Please Note: This post contains gifted items. I have not been paid to talk about them or feature them. All opinions are my own.

Toddlers are so much fun aren't they? Little tantrums over absolutely nothing. Dominic was never really that bad from what I can remember, but Lily is a little diva. Here a few reasons why she gets angry with me.

I wouldn't let her have 2 packets of crisps at once.

I sold her highchair.

It was bedtime.

She didn't want to be tucked in.

Dominic turned the TV off when it was her turn to do it.

Her slipper wouldn't go on.

I chose the wrong top.

She walked into the table.

Her sticker chart was full.

She couldn't have my phone to phone people.

I arranged her teddies wrong on her bed.

I gave her a pillow.

I needed the toilet.

She had to sit in her car seat.

Her chocolate melted.

I wouldn't let her jump off the sofa onto a foot stool.
She had to go downstairs.

She threw her teddy and now can't find it.

She couldn't drink my hot coffee.

She wasn't allowed to draw on my uni work.

I'm sure there are more but that's all I can think of right now. She's definitely a little diva and I love her even more for it! She knows her own mind and is going to be very independent when she gets older. I think we are in for some trouble with her haha.

Has your toddler ever got angry at you for a silly reason?

My first pregnancy update on this new blog and it's a 36 week one haha!

The end is in sight and I am ready for it! I have been really struggling with all sorts of aches and pains this time around, so just want her here now!

Like I just mentioned, aches and pains have been a constant symptom through this pregnancy. It was definitely not this bad when I was pregnant with Dominic and Lily! It hurts to roll over, get up and even just sitting sometimes! I had it confirmed I have SPD but by the time they and confirmed it, there was no point referring me to physical therapy so I've just had to live with it.

I have been feeling sick quite a bit recently too. I'm not sure if that's because I'm near the end or not. but it's not making the days fun.

Hot flushes have been a new symptom. Again, I'm not sure if that's due to being at the end or because the sun has come out a bit here. Either way, the fan has come out and is on all night haha.

Then there are the usual symptoms. Sleepless nights, heartburn and feeling, generally, uncomfortable all the time. I can't wait until all these symptoms are gone. I'm definitely fed up and just want her here. I need to get back to being able to play with Dominic and Lily properly.

Are we ready?

We are definitely ready! We have a few more bits to buy and sort out. We have sold our big bed ready to get a smaller one, we are just waiting for the people to come and collect. This should happen in the next week or so. We then need to buy some new teats for the bottles. We decided to keep the bottles we had from Lily and just purchase new teats for them, so they are on our list to get. Also, we are going to start picking up a pack of nappies and a tub of milk with each weekly food shop just to get our stocks up. I then want to get a little play mat for her. She won't need this straight away so it isn't a necessity.

We think she will be coming early and so do a few of my family members. I did say this with Lily and she ended up being a week late, but this time definitely feels different! You never can tell though. This may be the only pregnancy post on this blog if she comes early haha.

I think that's all I have to say for now. Keep an eye on the blog and my social media for updates on baby girls arrival!
